L.I.T. 10th grade

Any teen entering 10th grade should apply now for one of the best opportunities around to learn leadership skills. The program includes some fun trips including: Broadway Shows, Great Adventure, Hurricane Harbor, Seaside Heights, orientation days, on-going workshops, and socializing with LIT friends.

But most of all, an LIT will learn the responsibility of working with campers, under the supervision of IL staff members. They will be prepared to work as an IL counselor for the summer of 007.

We hope our 10th grade campers will consider this outstanding experience.

Here's how it works:

  1. You apply to join the LIT program.
  2. You join us next summer, starting with a great pre-camp orientation led by some really cool people. (Even though they're adults, they're still cool!) Then you get assigned to a group, where you will work with a Jr. Counselor and Sr. Counselor, making the summer fun for your campers.
  3. Every single day you will meet with LIT group leaders to to help you do a great job back in your group. And every week you get valuable feedback on how you're doing.
  4. Once each day you leave your camper group to join all the other LITs for your own fun activity. (Yeeehah!)
  5. You also go on fun trips, some with your camper group and others with just your LIT friends. (Could be a Broadway show, Medieval Times, Or Great Adventure!)
  6. At the end of the summer, we evaluate your work. And everyone who does well is recommended for a position as an Ivy League Junior Counselor for the following season.
