The Ivy League day begins and ends with a safe, spirited ride to and from camp. Ivy League provides professional, convenient, door-to-door, air-conditioned transportation for all of its campers. A specific pick up time will be assigned to each camper. All of our drivers are CDL certified and have undergone background checks. In addition, each vehicle has an Ivy League staff member on it called a Bus Counselor. Our responsible Bus Counselors ensure safety and get to know each camper individually. They make sure that that our bus rides are an extension of the Ivy League camp day - FUN!!! In addition to our door-to-door bus transportation we also offer Central Pick-Up bus locations in select areas. This service allows parents to meet the bus at a location chosen by the camp for a more direct route. If you choose not to utilize our bus transportation we do allow for Parent Transportation to and from camp.
A typical Pre-School through 5th grade group has 10-16 campers of the same age. Pre-School groups are co-ed. Groups become gender specific starting in Kindergarten. Teen Travel groups are larger and are also co-ed.

Campers’ groups have a senior counselor who is college age or older and 1 or 2 additional counselors who are high school or college students. All Pre-School groups are led by a “mommy” counselor, many of whom have children in camp with us or work at Ivy League Pre-School during the school year. Group counselors stay with their campers throughout the day and are active participants and helpers at each activity. In addition to our counselors each camp division is led by a Supervisor who facilitates procedures and trains the counselors. These Supervisors are the individuals communicating with parents as needed.
Ivy League prides itself on offering the highest level of supervision and communication. During the summer, your child’s group and division will be supervised by one of our skilled Supervisors. These teachers, coaches, and parents are mature adults with training and experience in childcare and education. Your Supervisor will oversee your camper’s Ivy League experience, and be your direct liaison and contact with camp. This person is responsible for ALL aspects of your child’s experience while at Ivy League. They are always available to answer your questions and concerns, and will be in constant communication with you throughout the summer to meet your camper’s needs.
At Ivy League, experienced adult specialists offer the highest quality instruction and supervision in each activity area. Our specialists are hand selected for their particular skill level in each area of camp, and for their strong ability to teach these skills to our campers in an encouraging manner. Many Ivy League specialists are teachers, coaches, or professionals in their particular field. Group counselors accompany our campers to every activity, actively participate to provide additional assistance and support, but are not responsible for teaching each activity.
Yes! The Ivy League swim program is top notch! We have 4 heated pools, enabling us to provide age appropriate swim instruction in a comfortable environment. Our campers successfully progress through the American Red Cross Swim Levels. Each camper has small group instruction every day with the same Red Cross Certified Water Safety Swim instructor to ensure that the camper feels safe and secure. Campers are also scheduled for recreational swim every day. Parents are updated throughout the summer about their child’s progress through our “Swim Grams”. Our parents constantly let us know how amazed they are by their camper’s swimming progress at the end of an Ivy League summer!

Rain or shine, the fun keeps going at Ivy League! During inclement weather, we switch from our regular sunny day schedule to our specially designed rainy day schedule. We have thousands of square feet of air conditioned indoor space to keep our campers dry, cool and entertained no matter what Mother Nature has in store. We also have a 6,000 square foot; climate controlled Field House which is used for our athletic activities when it is too rainy or too hot to participate outdoors. In addition to enjoying our many available indoor activities, on rainy days campers are treated to special movies, dance parties, and shows that provide new opportunities for fun! On oppressively hot days all campers are taken off the fields and given extra swim periods.
Ivy League provides all campers with a camp backpack. Everyday campers should come to camp with two bathing suits, two towels, change of clothes and sunscreen in their camp bag. Any notes to counselors should be placed in the “NOTES” pouch in front of camp backpack.
